The Sabbatical ended last Sunday and since then, Peter and I have been vacationing here in England. Our first stop was to ser Yejide in a lovely town called Shrewsbury. She has taken on the leadership of two parishes here and the are both beautiful.
Now we are in Canterbury where we were able to attend the Eucharist and Evening Prayer yesterday. It is just as wonderful as you can imagine. Today we move on to Bath and then back to Dublin.
I really want to thank all of you for this sabbatical period. The thirty day retreat was intense but also very touching. It centered on the Gospels and was designed to bring us as participants closer to Jesus through prayer and imagination. Strangely, the prolonged silence was more of a gift than a challenge. You all were very much on my mind during
That time.
I look forward to seeing you all shortly, August is right around the corner!
Much love,
