St. Paul’s-on-the Hill
St Paul’s on-the-Hill in Ossining, NY, is a member of the Episcopal Diocese of New York and the worldwide Anglican Communion.
We are a resilient congregation with a history that demonstrates a tradition of taking initiative, facing challenges and serving God in ever changing missions.
Our congregation spans more than a century with families who worshiped at “old St Paul’s” in downtown Ossining, those who grew up at St. Paul’s in the Baby Boom as it moved and developed the “on-the-Hill” property of Ganung Drive, and individuals who more recently have discovered a home of faith in the Episcopal Church.
St. Paul’s has forged a stronger relationship with Trinity Episcopal Church in Ossining during our joint search for a new priest and have formed many enthusiastic new links with Trinity, because we now share a priest-in-charge. Working with Trinity has given us opportunities to worship in new ways while exploring what it means to be Episcopalian.
Members of St. Paul’s welcome the curiosity and contributions of newcomers. Friendships with St. Paul’s extend through the community because of our long involvement with the Ossining Food Pantry, the Youth Music Program, our Mustard Seed Garden, Parents’ Night Out, and many church and Lantern Gift Shop events and sales, and through the rental of our Parish Hall.
Most recently, under the leadership of Rev. J. Cooper Conway, we are working with Trinity and other congregations in the Briarcliff Ossining Ministerial Association to launch an overnight homeless shelter for our community.
